Privacy, cookies & EU compliance

How MigrantIQ handles consent, analytics, ads, and your data.

Who it is for: Visitors in the EU, UK, and anyone who wants to control tracking.

Benefits

  • Cookie banner on first visit — essential, analytics, and marketing are separate.
  • Google Analytics and AdSense load only after you accept (or customize).
  • Change your choice anytime via “Cookie preferences” in the site footer.

Step by step

  1. 1. First visit banner

A bottom banner explains essential cookies (sign-in and security), optional analytics (Google Analytics), and optional marketing (Google AdSense on free guides). Choose Accept all, Essential only, or Customize.

  2. 2. What we store

Consent is saved in your browser (localStorage and a cookie) for up to one year. We do not sell personal data. Planning account data (corridors, scenarios) syncs to your email login. Doc checklist ticks stay in your browser only. Region-based corridor suggestions use Cloudflare country headers — we do not store your IP.

  3. 3. Change preferences later

Use “Cookie preferences” in the footer to clear consent and see the banner again. Admin pages do not load third-party analytics.

  4. 4. Newsletter & tool emails

If you subscribe or email yourself tool results, you receive branded transactional emails from MigrantIQ (via Resend). See the platform emails guide for the full list.
