Who it is for: Returning users who want one workspace for a move.

Benefits

  • Free account — all migration guides stay free without login.
  • Tabbed My Plan: Overview, Corridor plan, Application tracker, Household, Funds, Scenarios, Doc checklist (browser only).
  • Alert centre for expiries, milestones, deadlines and funds targets — pushed to the mobile apps when you opt in.
  • Calendar export (.ics or Google Calendar) for every dated item in your plan.
  • Read-only share links for family or advisors.
  • Optional weekly or monthly email reminders (cron on the server).

Step by step

  1. 1. Sign in with email code

Open Account and enter your email. We send a one-time sign-in code (15 minutes). First sign-in triggers a welcome email with links to My Plan and tools.

  2. 2. Open My Plan (seven tabs)

Overview shows the alert centre, readiness score, journey stage (Exploring → Arrived), next suggested actions, and the deadlines calendar. Corridor plan holds timeline steps. Application tracks dates after you submit. Household covers dependants. Funds holds your savings plan. Scenarios stores visa comparisons. Doc checklist ticks paperwork on your device only — MigrantIQ does not store files. Each tab has its own link, e.g. /plan/?tab=funds.

  3. 2a. Household & dependants

Add a spouse, children, or parents travelling with you. Each person gets their own document checklist and expiry dates, plus a rough household funds uplift. Dependant paperwork is the most common cause of delay, and it stays in your browser like the rest of the checklist.

    Household tab
  4. 2b. Application tracker

After submitting, log submission, biometrics, medical, interview, and decision dates. We compare the elapsed time with the published processing range so you know whether the wait is normal. This is an observed window, never a prediction of the outcome. You can optionally contribute the dates anonymously — corridor, visa, dates, and outcome only, no name, email, or documents.

    Application tab
  5. 2c. Funds & savings plan

Turn the proof-of-funds requirement into a monthly savings target. The plan works backwards from the seasoning deadline (how long the balance must sit before you submit) rather than the application date, and warns you when the monthly amount will not get there in time.

    Funds tab
  6. 2d. Calendar export & alerts

Download every dated plan item as an .ics file (or add single items to Google Calendar) with reminders seven days ahead. The alert centre on Overview lists the same items by urgency; install the Android or iOS app and turn on notifications to get the urgent ones pushed.

  7. 3. Set an active corridor

From a move page or My Plan, save a corridor plan. Milestones track steps like language tests, document collection, and application windows. Readiness score summarizes progress (guidance only).

  8. 4. Save tool results

After eligibility, pathway finder, best-country, corridor fit, or calculator runs, use “Save to My Plan” where shown. Account dashboard links saved countries to 3-way or 2-way compare. Scenarios tab compares saved visa options.

  9. 5. Document pack & checklist

Use the Doc checklist tab on `/plan/` to tick items ready — nothing is uploaded to MigrantIQ. The document pack page (`/plan/pack/`) lists suggested paperwork for your corridor. Country and visa document libraries at `/countries/{slug}/documents/` and `/visas/{country}/{visa}/forms/` list typical requirements when published.

  10. 7. Email reminders

In Account settings, choose weekly or monthly planning reminders. Emails include your journey stage and suggested next steps when you have an active corridor.

  11. 8. Corridor landing pages

SEO-friendly planning entry points (e.g. `/plan/pakistan-to-canada/`) summarize the corridor and link into My Plan.
