Singapore Puts Enhanced Arrival Card on MyICA From 30 September 2026

Singapore MyICA Arrival Card Goes Live 30 Sep 2026

From 30 September 2026 travellers file the enhanced Singapore Arrival Card on MyICA after an ICA update. Passport scan, 19 languages, and free official filing apply before you land.

On 16 September 2026 the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority told travellers entering Singapore from 30 September 2026 to complete the enhanced Singapore Arrival Card inside the MyICA mobile app. The enhanced form already sat on the ICA website. From 30 September 2026 the same form moves onto phones, so you must update MyICA before you submit a card on or after the cutoff.

The Straits Times, AsiaOne, and Malay Mail reported the same ICA Facebook notice on 16 and 17 September 2026. ICA also said motorists and passengers who generate QR codes for land checkpoint clearance must update MyICA before 30 September 2026. Treat the date as a hard software gate for both the arrival card and land QR flow.

The Singapore Arrival Card is a mandatory electronic health declaration. Official filing through the SGAC e-Service or MyICA remains free. ICA warns travellers who fail to submit the card before arrival face denial of entry. The card does not replace a passport, a visa, or immigration inspection at Changi, Woodlands, or Tuas.

Who must file before arrival

ICA requires every traveller seeking immigration clearance to submit the Singapore Arrival Card within three days before arrival, counting the day of arrival. The duty covers visitors and also covers Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders flying home.

Two groups stay outside the filing duty.

  • Transit or transfer passengers who never seek immigration clearance
  • Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders who enter only through Woodlands Checkpoint or Tuas Checkpoint by land

A visitor crossing the Causeway by car still files. The land exemption covers residents at those two checkpoints, not every vehicle. Airside transit without clearance stays exempt. If your itinerary clears immigration at Changi, file the card before you land.

What changes on MyICA from 30 September 2026

ICA rolled out the enhanced arrival card on the website in late August 2026. From 30 September 2026 MyICA carries the enhanced version. Update the app from the official Apple or Google store listing before you open the form on or after the cutoff. An outdated build will not present the enhanced card.

Passport scan autofill now reaches Singapore citizens, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders. Foreign visitors already used the biometric page scan. Singpass retrieval stays available for residents. Scan the passport page or pull data through Singpass, then finish any remaining health and trip fields.

Language support expands to 19 languages. The enhanced card adds Bahasa Indonesia, Dutch, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, Filipino, and Italian to the prior set. Mixed groups complete the form in languages each person reads, then keep one confirmation screen. Screenshot the confirmation after submission. Officers pull the record, yet a local copy helps if a phone screen fails at the gate.

Land checkpoint QR codes need the same update

ICA tied the MyICA update to QR codes used for passport-free immigration clearance at land checkpoints. Motorists and passengers who rely on those codes must update before 30 September 2026. Residents who use Woodlands or Tuas skip the arrival card, yet still need a current app when those phones generate clearance QR codes.

Do not confuse the two tasks. One task is the pre-arrival health declaration for people who must file. The other task is a clearance token for land lanes. One MyICA update keeps both paths current.

How to prepare your September and October trips

  • Update MyICA on Wi-Fi days before your flight, not on roaming at the jet bridge
  • Confirm the arrival card section opens on the latest build
  • Submit the card within the three-day window on MyICA or on the official ICA website
  • Keep a screenshot of the confirmation with your boarding pass
  • Pack the same passport you scanned for autofill
  • Ignore third-party sites charging a processing fee for the same free form

ICA publishes a public advisory listing commercial websites offering paid SG Arrival Card services. Official channels do not endorse those sites. Use only the SGAC e-Service or MyICA. Close search ads promising a faster paid card and return to the ICA domain.

Trips arriving before 30 September 2026 still use the current website flow if your phone app lacks the enhanced card. Trips arriving on or after 30 September 2026 need an updated MyICA build before you start the form. Families should update every phone used for filing or land QR generation.

Entry rules the card does not change

Passport validity, visa rules, and biometric clearance stay separate from the arrival card. Non-Singapore passports need at least six months validity. Visa-required nationals still need a visa or an eligible Visa-Free Transit Facility stay under 96 hours. Short-term visitors still present funds and onward travel proof, and still avoid stay beyond Visit Pass validity.

Yellow fever certificate rules continue for recent travel to listed risk countries in the six days before arrival. Customs declarations for dutiable goods and currency declarations above S$20,000 also remain separate duties. Completing the Singapore Arrival Card does not clear those requirements.

As of 26 September 2026, treat 30 September 2026 as the MyICA gate for the enhanced Singapore Arrival Card. Update the app, file on an official ICA channel, and keep your confirmation. Free official submission protects your entry plan better than any paid third-party form.
