THEIR EXPERIENCE

Hey everyone!! 🩷🩷🥳🥳🥳🥳

I wanted to share my timeline and my experience because, like many of you, I spent the last month refreshing ImmiAccount thousands of times, scrolling through Reddit endlessly, fighting massive anxiety, and dealing with a lot of hopelessness. I promised myself that if I got my grant, I would write a detailed post to help and motivate others who are going through this psychological nightmare.

Here is my profile and timeline:

Nationality: Turkish 🇹🇷

Sector: Higher

TIMELINETIMELINE

 1. —

    April 19: Lodged application (Status: Received)

 2. —

    April 20: Biometrics completed

APPLICANT PROFILE

 * and timeline:
 * Nationality: Turkish 🇹🇷
 * Sector: Higher Education - Priority 1 (Level 1 Provider)
 * Course: Packaged Programme: University of Newcastle English Language Pathway (20 Weeks) + Juris Doctor / Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (JD)
 * Background: Law Faculty Graduate in Turkey (Admitted/Licensed Lawyer)
 * ⏱️ THE TIMELINE:
 * April 19: Lodged application (Status: Received)
 * April 20: Biometrics completed
 * April 20: Health Examination completed (Status changed to Initial Assessment)
 * April 23: Health Examination Cleared (Status changed to Further Assessment)
 * May 18: VISA GRANTED!!! 🎉 (Total: 29 days from lodgement)
 * I want to be completely honest here, this process almost broke me mentally. Even though I am a qualified lawyer and knew I had a solid, rock-complete file with 59 documents (including 9 property deeds, official bar association registrations, etc.), the silence from the Department of Home Affairs triggered severe anxiety.
 * Seeing people who applied after me getting grants in 10-15 days made me question everything. I fell into a deep spiral of overthinking, thinking that my file was too complicated or that something was wrong. On top of that, dealing with family pressure and hearing well-meaning but discouraging comments like "It’s taking too long, it might be a refusal", completely shattered my morale, especially during a physically exhausting month.
 * Your turn is coming. Hang in there, yours can too! Good luck to everyone still waiting! 🍀💞💞💞💞🥳🥳

LESSONS FOR PLANNERS

 * Waiting periods are stressful — focus on document quality rather than refreshing status obsessively.
